I am a set and costume designer based in London. What I really appreciate about theatre and performing art in general is the collective effort leading to a performance. As a theatre designer I explore the interplays between bodies, spaces and time in order to respond to the play's needs, taking the text as my starting point and inspiration. I look for words that will give me hints and inspiration to create meticulous and poetic spaces to enhance and engage with the audience's imagination beyond what they can see.
Theatre for young audiences and youth companies are very close to my heart. I did my final MA research on this subject trying to find a way to design for youth audiences and with youth companies.
I hold a master's degree in scenography from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, a bachelor's degree in technical theatre, specialising in design realisation from Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I have also completed a bachelor's degree in spatial design, focussing on set design, architecture, and landscape design at École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d'Art - Olivier de Serres in Paris.
